KidWISE Institute’s flagship program is now available as a comprehensive video-based workshop for volunteers and other adults who are new at facilitating adult groups.

Because of the sensitive nature of this workshop, we recommend that volunteer leaders have a background or experience in one of the following fields: Parent Education Pre-school, Elementary or Middle School Education Religious Education Healthcare Education Mental Health Other human services occupation or background

About the Workshop Kit
The Out of Harm's Way Workshop Kit is an effective tool in teaching parents how to protect children from sexual predators and other people who try to hurt or exploit them. Adults learn how to help children (ages 3-14) identify acceptable and unacceptable behavior and empower them to reject inappropriate sexual contact.
The kit also provides developmental guidance to help parents make good decisions based on realistic expectations that protect and support children.

Workshop goals are:

	Support parents in becoming good teachers and protectors of their children
	Motivate parents to be aware of and involved in their children’s daily experiences.
	Help parents promote positive self-esteem in their children
	Develop good family communication skills
	Provide safety information to parents they can teach according to their children’s age and stage
	Demystify sexual predators and create heightened parental awareness and vigilance
